ELITE athletes from across WA battled for supremacy at the All Schools Triathlon Championship on November 4.

Champion Lakes played host to the event, which catered for 185 school teams and 150 individuals.

Penrhos College was named champion school on the day.

The college came first across the year 10 and 11 teams.

College spokesman Norbert Fandry said the school’s Year 9 teams finished first and second and the Year 8 team finished third.

“I am extremely proud of the girls,” Mr Norbert said.

“Considering there were more than 30 teams in each age group it was a fantastic result.”

Outstanding results were achieved by Year 9 student Alex White, who finished fifth in the individual under-14 years race, and Year 9 student Stephanie Boehm, who placed seventh in the same category.
