AS part of National Condom Day on February 14, FPWA Sexual Health Services will be launching a new range of multicultural safe sex resources.
Spokeswoman Rebecca Smith said there were limited safe sex resources available for people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds in WA.
“We want people from all cultures to have access to appropriate information regarding safe sex and condom use,” she said.
“In addition to the multicultural resources, we will be launching a new CaLD section of our website where people can access sexual health information in different languages, as well as details of relevant services.”
The new FPWA resources will be launched in conjunction with the short film After School I’ll Marry You.
The film was created by the Metropolitan Migrant Resource Centre and directed by multicultural actors from the Sharing Stories Youth Theatre Ensemble.
It explores the struggles of relationships, peers, parents and parties from a young person’s point of view.
The free launch will be held on February 12 at the Astor Cinema in Mt Lawley. Call 9227 6177 to reserve a seat.
